Employee Spotlight: Chad Stephens

At i3 Commerce Technology, we pride ourselves on having the best employees in the industry, and this quarter, we want to feature our Vice President of Sales, Chad Stephens.

As Vice President of Sales, Chad is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the i3 Commerce Technology sales team as well as, working as a liaison for financial institutions and corporate partnerships. With more than two decades of experience in the payment processing industry, he spends his time sharing his knowledge and expertise with the sales team to ensure that they provide the best experience and solutions for our partners and merchants.

Chad has been in the payments arena for more than two decades and has spent the bulk of his career working at industry giants such as First Data and WorldPay.

We also had a fun Q&A with Chad. Here’s what he had to say:

Q. What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day?

A. “I love that I get to make an impact on people’s lives every day whether it is helping a merchant solve a problem or helping a sales team member close a deal. I am constantly thinking about how I can create a better experience for our clients or make i3 Commerce Technology a better place to work for our employees.”

Q. What is your proudest moment at i3 Commerce Technology?

A. “i3 Commerce Technology has been in business for 15 years and in January, we broke the all-time company sales record! It tends to be a very slow month in this business which makes me even more proud that we netted those results.”

Q. What are the five words to best describe i3 Commerce Technology?

A. “ALWAYS do the right thing. I came to work here because I felt that i3 Commerce Technology was conducting business in a manner that is well respected within the community and I was proved right. It allows me to sleep well at night knowing that i3 Commerce Technology always does the right thing!”

Q. What is your favorite inspirational quote?

A. “‘A good plan violently executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week.’ by General George S. Patton. A sense of urgency plays a large role in winning business. Seizing the moment NOW can make all the difference in the world.”

Q. What is your hidden talent?

A. “They call me the ‘Blonde Bomber’ on the basketball court!”
